Scot
Forge created the Specialty Alloy Services Team
to assist customers with the selection and use of
specialty materials for open die forgings and rolled
rings. Applications requiring alloys possessing
high strength, superior corrosion resistance, wear
and galling resistance, heat resistance, and high
conductivity are areas serviced by this Team. Typical
materials offered include the super austenitic and
super duplex stainless along with aluminum,
copper, titaniumn and nickel alloys. Additionally,
Scot Forge is licensed to forge Ferralium® Alloys
255 and SD40, Hiduron® 191, and 254 SMO®.
The Specialty Alloy Services
Team provides forging solutions through technical
assistance and customized material selection. Forgings
from complex materials can be produced in sizes
and shapes that were never before available. In
addition, we can assist in actually customizing
the material to make it most suitable for your particular
application.
By focusing on specialty alloys,
the Specialty Alloy Services technical staff works
toward providing improved performance and longer
field life for your critical parts, using the most
cost efficient forging and manufacturing processes
available.
