Scot Forge provides single source responsibility, preventing
delays and quality problems that can arise with multiple
suppliers.
Each
Scot Forge plant houses its own specialty heat treat department.
Our five custom-designed quenchant systems, which can handle
parts to 44 feet long or 20 feet in diameter, work in tandem
with over two dozen furnaces and our specialized material
handling equipment.
Services include
normalizing, annealing, quenching, tempering, stress relieving,
spherodize annealing, solution annealing and straightening
for parts up to 52 feet long or 20 feet in diameter.
With such modern and versatile heat treating equipment,
Scot Forge customers can feel confident in quick, reliable
lead times.
Thermal Treating
Equipment
- 50,000 gallon tank, specializing in bars and hollows
to 30 feet
- 40,000 gallon pit tank, specializing in rings
to 20 feet diameter
- 55,000 gallon tank, handling all shapes to 6 feet
wide by 44 feet long
- 2 - 4,000 gallon tanks, handling parts to 10 feet
diameter
Five separate polymer & water quench facilities:
More than 28 car bottom, tip-up, and pit furnaces:
- capacities to 52 feet long or 20 feet in diameter
- regular maintenance per MIL-H-6875 practices
